Learning Activities

1. In a table, provide examples of health behaviours in each aspect of health including physical, mental, emotional, social and spiritual. 

 

2. Document in a journal a comment about your physical, social and emotional health today. Highlight any events that may have contributed.

 

3. In one week, without reading your previous entries comment again about your physical, social and emotional health.

 

4. Review your previous entries and compare your comments. Note the similarities and differences you have observed and any events or situations that may have contributed.

 

5. Identify THREE actions you could take to improve one aspect of your health.

 

6. In a table create a plan for how you could go about implementing one of your actions, including how you will track progress and seek support in achieving your goal.

Case Study

Koa is a 16-year-old high school student who has noticed a decline in their overall wellbeing. They often feel tired, stressed and disconnected from peers. Koa’s daily routine involves minimal physical activity, frequent consumption of junk food, and late nights spent gaming. They struggle to manage schoolwork and feel overwhelmed, leading to mood swings and frustration. Koa also feels isolated, as they don’t participate in many social activities or clubs.
